Our rhubarb is ready for picking. It is $3/lb. We don’t have regular ours for rhubarb (until strawberries start) so please contact us before hand to book a time.
We have seen flowers on this years strawberries and are hoping to be open by the third Saturday in June (20th). Please check in with us closer to that time to confirm picking times and conditions.
Our price for berries this year is $4.50 per quart or $7.75 per pound (if using own containers). We will also have pre-picked flats (6 qts.) available for $35/flat. Should you need berry masters to hold your quart baskets, they will be available for $2.50 each.
We have talked with the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit and have developed best practices in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This year we started the process of become a certified organic producer. We have always used organic principals and practices in our production and have decided to certify as we expand the wholesale side of our operation. Organic production methods are especially important with soft fruits, which are typically treated with a lot of pesticides in conventional production.
In the past we have encouraged you to bring your own appropriate picking containers and took back plastic pint and quart baskets, in an attempt to reduce costs and waste. The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit assured us that as long as we sanitize our scales in between use, customers can use their own containers. We can take back used containers as long as we keep them separate and don’t use them until next year.
